Using the toolkit

This notice covers the current mini-app toolkit, including Sailing. You can browse without creating an account or providing an email address. Character lookups use your RuneScape character name. Never enter your Jagex, RuneScape or RuneLite password into this toolkit.

What stays in your browser

Saved character names, your selected character, goals, notes, planning progress, fleets, build checklists and preferences are stored using your browser’s local storage. Some app settings and observed progress history are also saved locally. Last successful character-data snapshots are cached per character and source so they remain available between visits. Their last-checked time is shown, and they are refreshed when you return. These caches are separate from exported plan backups. Your plans are not automatically backed up to an online account or shared between devices.

Other people using the same browser profile may be able to view this workspace. Clearing this site’s browser data, using private browsing or changing browsers can remove or separate your saved work.

Character lookups and outside services

When you load or refresh a character, the application sends the character name to its server and relevant game-data providers to retrieve progress. The current toolkit uses Wise Old Man, the OSRS Wiki and WikiSync, TempleOSRS, and Jagex Hiscores. Results can include levels, XP, ranks, boss kill counts, quests, diaries, combat achievements and collection-log progress.

Game catalogues and images may also come from external services. Direct image requests and links you open can disclose standard connection information, such as your IP address, to those services. Hosting infrastructure and data providers may retain request logs or cached responses under their own policies. Local storage of your plans does not mean character lookups happen offline.

JSON backups and imports

Export creates a JSON file on your device containing the workspace or fleet you selected. Workspace backups can contain character names, goals and notes. Treat these files as personal data and share them only when you intend to share their contents.

Imports are read in your browser to restore or add local planning data. Keep a backup before replacing a workspace. A JSON backup does not transfer ownership of a game account or change your in-game progress.

Removing your data

You can remove individual plans using the app’s controls. To remove all locally saved toolkit data, clear this site’s storage through your browser’s site-data settings. This resets saved characters, plans, fleets and preferences. Delete any exported JSON files separately if you no longer want those copies.

Clearing local data does not delete public character information or records held by third-party data providers. Manage that information with the relevant provider.

Scope and updates

This notice describes the current local-workspace mini-apps. Earlier account-based versions used different storage and sync features; clearing browser data does not delete records previously submitted to those systems.

We will update this page when the toolkit’s data handling changes, including if account storage or new upload features are introduced.
